Lever down - turn gear clockwise
Lever up - turn gear counterclockwise
Lever left or right - move gear to left or right side of platform
To move the red handle, make sure you hear and see it move two clicks before you release it. If the handle doesn't move a certain way, you cannot move the gear in that direction.
