There are several different ways Exile can end, some good and some bad. This page lists all the different endings. This is the biggest spoiler we have on our site, so proceed with extreme caution. Show spoiler (not recommended)
>>> All of these situations start in Narayan.
>>> BEST: Trap Saavedro by turning off the shield's power
source upstairs. Talk to him through the vines downstairs and get back the Releeshahn book.
Turn on the power again to let him go, but be sure to turn the shield switch to
the right so it will drop the outer barrier. Link back to Tomahna.
>>> GOOD: Make sure you have the Tomahna linking book in
your possession. Trap Saavedro by turning off the shield's power source upstairs. Talk to
him through the vines downstairs and get back the Releeshahn book. Link back to Tomahna,
leaving the raging Saavedro trapped forever.
>>> BAD: Trap Saavedro by turning off the shield's power
source upstairs. You can get the Releeshahn book if you like, but it won't matter. Go back and turn on
the power without changing the barrier. Oops! You'll get hammered whether you escape to
Tomahna or not.
>>> BAD: Do what Saavedro tells you to do and switch the
barrier for him. He will fail to hold up his end of the bargain and throw the book off the edge of the platform. Atrus and Catherine will be devastated if you choose to
return to Tomahna and tell them what happened.
>>> BAD: Walk up to Saavedro by the gondola and wait for
him to lose his patience. Even though he kills you, we can safely assume that he would
discover the Tomahna linking book and wreak havoc there.
>>> BAD: Linking to Tomahna any time before trapping
Saavedro will, as he warned, leave the door open for him to follow you. He hammers you
before charging after Atrus and Catherine.
